About Us

Built for learners who prefer a steady, considered pace

Anakot Labs was founded in Pattaya with one purpose: to create an AI school that treats its learners as adults with full lives — not as enrolment numbers.

Our Story

How Anakot Labs came to be

Anakot Labs opened in 2022, founded by a small group of developers and educators who had each spent time working on AI projects across South and Southeast Asia. What drew them together was a shared frustration: the available training options were either too fast-moving to absorb or too theoretical to apply.

The name comes from the Thai word อนาคต — meaning "the future" — chosen because the school's focus is not on where AI is today, but on building the kind of understanding that stays useful as the field keeps moving.

From the beginning, the decision was made to keep cohorts small and mentoring personal. Each learner works with an assigned mentor rather than getting automated feedback. This takes more time on our end, but it produces better outcomes — and it means learners actually finish what they start.

Today, Anakot Labs runs three structured programmes: a beginner introduction to Python and machine learning, a hands-on model-building course, and a comprehensive project-based track for people working toward a professional role. All three can be studied alongside work or other commitments.

Our Mission

What we are here to do

We are here to help people in Thailand — and across the region — build real, working knowledge of AI development. Not a surface-level overview, and not a credential that looks good on paper but doesn't translate into practice. The kind of understanding you can sit with, use in a real project, and keep building on.

Teach honestly

We describe what each course asks of you — in time, effort, and prior knowledge — before you enrol.

Support consistently

A real mentor stays with you through your course, not just at the beginning.

Deliver usable skills

Courses are built around work you complete, not slides you watch.

The Team

The people behind the courses

A small team of working developers and educators, each with direct experience in the areas they teach.

KP

Kanokporn Prasit

Lead Instructor · Python & ML

Kanokporn has worked in data roles in Bangkok and Singapore for nine years, with a focus on supervised learning and data pipeline design. She wrote the curriculum for the first two courses and leads mentor training at Anakot Labs.

AT

Arthit Tangsri

Senior Mentor · AI Engineering

Arthit spent four years building and deploying NLP systems for a Bangkok-based tech company before joining Anakot Labs. He mentors learners on the advanced track and designs the project briefs used in the final programme.

NW

Nattawut Wicha

Curriculum & Learner Support

Nattawut coordinates the learner experience across all three courses — handling enrolment, pacing, and day-to-day support questions. He also maintains the course materials and runs the pre-enrolment consultation process.

How We Work

Standards we hold ourselves to

These are not policies written for appearances. They describe how courses are actually built and run.

Named mentor for every learner

Each person enrolled in a course is assigned a specific mentor — not a rotating pool. This creates continuity and means the mentor actually knows your progress.

Project-based assessment

Progress is measured through work you build and submit — not multiple-choice tests. Each project has clear criteria and written feedback from your mentor.

Learner data handled carefully

We collect only the information needed to run your course. Personal data is not shared with third parties for marketing, and enrolment data is stored securely.

Curriculum reviewed annually

Course content is reviewed and updated each year. When the field moves, the materials move with it — so you are not learning approaches that are already outdated.

Honest pre-enrolment guidance

Before you pay, we will tell you honestly whether the course you are considering is the right starting point for your background. We would rather you start at the right level than struggle through the wrong one.

Feedback welcomed, not just tracked

We ask learners for feedback at several points during each course and after completion. That feedback is read and, where it makes sense, acted on in the next course update.

Our Approach

What learning AI development looks like at Anakot Labs

Working in AI development requires a different kind of foundation than many people expect. It is not just about knowing which tools to use — it is about understanding why a model behaves the way it does, how to read and prepare data with care, and how to think clearly about the gap between a working prototype and something that performs reliably in use.

At Anakot Labs, the three courses build this foundation in stages. The beginner course removes the assumption that you need a computing background to start. It works through Python, data handling, and the core ideas of machine learning in a sequence that is designed to be absorbed rather than memorised. Exercises are short and practical, and there is always a mentor available when something doesn't click.

The intermediate course moves into the hands-on work of training and evaluating models. Learners work with real datasets rather than pre-cleaned samples, which means they encounter the kinds of problems — missing values, class imbalances, unexpected distributions — that come up in actual work. Mentor feedback focuses on how decisions were made, not just whether the code ran.

The advanced track is organised around a portfolio project, chosen in consultation with the learner's mentor. By the end, participants have something they built themselves, that they can explain and present, and that demonstrates the kind of thinking the field looks for. The programme also includes guidance on how to present technical work to non-technical audiences — a skill that matters in most professional contexts.

All three courses are run online, with flexible weekly study patterns suited to people working or managing other commitments alongside their learning. Anakot Labs is based in Pattaya, Chonburi, and supports learners across Thailand and the broader region.
